Slavia lost at home to Plzen, ending a long run of success that has seen them top the league.  But that’s not why I’ve posted this.  Look at the kits!  When was the last time we saw two teams wearing anything like the same colour in the Prem?   Any slight conflict and out comes the away kit (greater exposure = more sales?).

  1. I thought the away kit was always worn unless it clashed with the home team`s.
    I remember a time when there was no away kit as such. The visiting team might change into a different colour shorts (either white or black, no yellows, greens etc). Or have an alternative shirt (either red or blue). But rarely the two together.

    Those were the days . . .

  3. I thought that. Liverpool were away at watford back in the early 80s and had their home shirt, black shorts and yellow socks. It had novelty value if nothing else.
