Today we may order our new Fulham home shirts. Diomansy Kamara has got his already.
I think I’ll wait for squad number announcements and a personal quality inspection before making any rash decisions.
We’ve been asking about Celtic’s Lee Naylor. And have been rejected. Word is that Chris Baird is now going to Sunderland too, but not to worry, I have faith in Lawrie’s ability to find other good players. The Naylor bid, incidentally, suggests that Franck Queudrue may well be on his way.
In site news, as we creap ever nearer to the 25,000 mark, I’m delighted to welcome Brian Quarstad to the fold. Brian, or BQ as you may know him, lives in the States (Minnesota area) and has provided me with excellent insights into our US players for some time now. Some of these have made it to the site, others have been digested and enjoyed as emails, but either way, his expertise and passion has always shone through. And despite being from ‘over there’ he’s been following the beautiful game for a very looooong time, as hopefully he’ll explain one day.
With my current work schedule I rarely get to post before 9pm UK time, by which time Brian’s usually caught the latest news, so it made sense to invite him aboard. I’ve left it to him as to how he takes things from here, but I’m grateful for the help and am sure you’ll enjoy what he has to say. So cheers, Brian, and welcome.
