Healy to go out on loan?

Filed under: General — bqfootball @ 2:19 pm

Yesterday I reported that Fulham striker David Healy may well be on his way to Sheffield Wednesday. This morning, the Belfast Telegraph, is reporting that no less than 6 Championship teams are looking to sign the Euro qualifying record setting forward who is being shopped around by Fulham.

Now the Telegraph, in another article, says Queens Park Rangers are the team that will be offering Fulham and Healy a deal that would loan him out for the rest of the season. In the post I made yesterday that links to an article that Healy wrote himself, he was quoted as saying that he didn’t want to leave the Premiership. But QPR, loaded with money from new Italian owners, seem to be keen on acquiring the Northern Ireland forward.

Healy, who is 28, still has 2-1/2 years left on his contract. It certainly seems that he is at the very bottom of Roy Hodgson’s pecking list of no less than 7 forwards. Even Healy admits that.

The manager has brought a lot of players in – Eddie Johnson, Jari Litmanen and possibly even Daniel Cousin. Brian McBride and Diomansy Kamara are returning from injury so you’re talking about six or seven strikers at the club and possibly at the minute I’m seventh choice.

Cult zeros.  Buy something!

On the front page they cycle through a few designs.  My Clint Dempsey “Don’t Tread” shirt appears before too long in the cycle – at the time it was the first Dempsey shirt Cult Zeros had made.  Paul’s a Fulham fan too, so head on over and pick something up.
