Team America
“The other guys on the team will go, ‘There’s Team America,’ and it’s good fun,” Dempsey said. “It’s good having guys you played with. The big thing for me is having Brian around because he’s just a class act, a veteran, a good person, a great player. He’s kind of a role model, a guy you look to emulate.”
Nice to see McBride getting some praise. And I’m glad the players are confident…
(Mrs Dempsey the educational psychologist, eh? Cool)
Good article. Deuce has shown his single-mindedness in the past to good effect. When he got married, he quietly announced that his rapping days were over. He knew that any high-profile individual associated with rap music here in the states incurs a little bit of physical risk, so he figured that was no place for a family man.
Over on FulhamUSA, I’m taking some good natured kidding for my pessamistic article about the inevitability of relegation this year. It’s good to see that McBride and Dempsey and Johnson are so positive. I hope they’re right and I’m wrong.

I hope so too, Don, but I have a sneaking suspicion you’ll be correct in the end. Oh, well, I’m resigned to it now.
For some reason, I really dig that picture of Deuce going head to head with Micah Richards. It’s Clint’s intensity and drive that make him one of my favorite players and that image captures it perfectly.
