Just a few odds and ends. The above are Blackburn’s home games this year.
They’ve lost four of them (yellow highlight).
They seem to give up quite a lot of shots (orange highlight). But we know that Brad Friedel is very good.
With one exception, the rule seems to be that if you out-foul (or close) Blackburn you’ll do okay (blue highlight). Obviously it’s not that simple, but I think it speaks volumes about the way we have to play. Andreasen is vital here, as may be Volz. It might not be a Murphy game.
Roy’s video thoughts are here.
I’m probably sinking to about 17%. Is anyone else going?
A poster on TiFF says that we’re going to play two up front on Saturday. Gazza has a source inside the club and is usually right, so it’s sound info.
I guess I’m up to 36% then.
Not content to give away season tickets, the club are also donating free t-shirts. I’m down to about 30% likely now, it seems. Not too late though.
Interview with Brede Hangeland. Funny, I read the other day that Owen Hargreaves likes Milan Kundera. Now we learn that Hangeland reads Don DeLillo. I think Nicky Butt is a reader, but I don’t know that too many of the English lads are. Also, Hangeland also wants to talk to Barack Obama about what’s happening in the US at the moment.
This is interesting too:
Are there any players that you have played with or play with now that you could see becoming good coaches/managers?
That’s a difficult question, but I’ll say Leon Andreasen, though he might disagree! He definitely knows how he wants things to look in the team and that’s a good quality for a coach.
How bizarre.
This in the Mirror:
New Coventry boss Chris Coleman wants old club Fulham to help him out by loaning out-of-favour defenders Carlos Bocanegra and Dejan Stefanovic. Having walked into a relegation battle at the Ricoh, Coleman is desperate for more experience at the back.
Doubt Roy would let Boca go at this point.
