Craven Cottage Newsround

Man City 2-3 Fulham

Posted in Match info by bqfootball on April 26, 2008

I don’t even know what to say. Seriously, I’m speechless and the words are not coming to me. Does this give us hope? Or is this totally Fulhamish, just prolonging the inevitable? Either way, a huge win today.

OK, all you Diomansy Kamara and Danny Murphy critics, let’s hear you today. Kamara with a brace, one in injury time for the win and Murphy with a goal and an assist in the winning goal.

Truly, unbelievable!

I’m stunned. Was half watching the Brum-Liverpool match while reading the newspaper and when I saw the various updates come through, I was absolutely floored. How does this happen???? I cannot wait to watch this match in a few hours on Setanta.

What an unbelievable rollercoaster this season has been. We can’t sniff a road win in a year and a half and now all of a sudden, we’ve won two in a row. Simply stunning.

Next weekend can’t come soon enough.

Half of this house is having a blue moody – the other is in black and white heaven.

Once again we have tamely let a game go. At two nil we deserve nothing but relegation. HOLD ON.Wait a minute…….

As a hear the full time result and litterally dance (very sad) in the street to the Five Live Sports Report theme, if we go down at least we have made a fight of it. We are still there with two games to go. Any comments I made about Kamara being a waste and Hodgson wrongly playing Murphy was an error and one I deeply regret.

Mind you next week will be a different matter. But we are still in the PREM. YIPPEEEEE

Funnily enough I’d just been talking up Kamara before he scored. Not in a proper way, just saying how I find him funny and the like. Anyway, an unlikely but wonderful hero!

I tried to avoid spoilers but I just couldn’t help myself.

Here’s the bottomline to those who have “given up” (See Hatterdon at Fulham USA last week).

We are 2 points behind Birm. City & 3 points back of Reading & Bolton. If we win next week and Reading loses to Spurs, we are tied point wise heading into the final week of the season. It could still happen.

I don’t care if we go down, as long as we are in it until the final weekend of the season. I could live with that.

I’m now looking forward to actually watching the game at 4pm.
