Bah
Who can write about football today? We know we have to win and it’s very frightening. End of.
Portsmouth ticket
I’m not generally broadcasting this because anyone taking it now might change their mind after Saturday and leave me back where I started, but I think we’ve got a spare ticket for the Portsmouth match. It’s sitting with me and Hade and cost £34.
If you’re interested (and will remain interested whatever happens on Saturday) drop me an email to richallen7 at yahoo dot com.
cheers

All is not well in Berkshire
A bit of competitor intelligence here: Reading are having a bit of strife.
In short, Emerse Fae and Ibrahima Sonko refused to play for the team’s reserves so have been suspended for two weeks. Fae has taken this badly and labelled Steve Coppell ’stupid’. I would assume that Fae calling Steve Coppell ’stupid’ says more about Fae than it does about Coppell.
Also Kevin Doyle is playing despite having lost four family members in a recent incident. The funeral is today. Needless to say, our thoughts are with him.
The beach at Bishops Park
Hammersmith and Fulham Council hopes to receive £4m from the Heritage Lottery Fund’s (HLF) Parks for People grant to regenerate Bishop’s Park and Fulham Palace grounds back to its seaside Victorian days.
The council’s plans, drawn up by landscape firm LDA Design, show Bishops Park’s lake, pond, terracotta balustrade walkway and the 1,000sq m Fulham beach restored. LDA Design partner Andrew Harland said: “They are aiming to restore its character with the central focus on the lake and urban beach aiming to take it back to its Victorian heyday.”
