Oh

Some good stuff at With A Plum lately, especially a post on the enigma that is Clint.

And to continue the linkage, 200percent is doing Euro 2008 previews, starting with Group A.

Here’s the 200percent Playoff Preview too.   It’s Bristol City v Hull.  Whoever wins, Fulham really shouldn’t finish bottom next year.

  1. I’m pulling for Hull City in this one, so the trivia question, “What is the largest city in Europe that has never had a team play in it’s top division,” will have to find a new answer.

Or, rather… maybe I want Bristol City to win so I don’t have to find out which team is the new answer?

    I’m torn on this one.

  2. A good mate of mine live near to Ashton Gate, so I’m pulling for Bristol. Against that, my dad went to University in Hull. I don’t think he liked it much though. So who knows?

  3. I’m pulling for Hull. It just doesn’t seem right that a team that ships as many goals as it scores should be promoted or — in the Prem — qualify for Europe. I’m not sure where they are now, but with a week or so to go, their goal difference was +1.

There’s a study for the figure filberts … the high/low on goal difference for promotees.

  4. Oh, and that’s probably the best evaluation of Deuce I’ve seen. I’m hoping that Roy can figure out how to get the best of him, because he can do us so much good.
