Wise words from Warner

Jack Warner’s generally agreed to be a bit shifty, but this is a very good insight into World Cup bidding and England’s problems therein.

Meanwhile, Chris Waddle talks sense: Lampard must miss out. I agree. Barry, Hargreaves and Gerrard make the team better; Lampard seems to take something away. Good player, but his presence just doesn’t really work in the England side.

New home kit revealed; away kit guess

All the pictures are really small so it’s quite hard to scrutinise in necessary detail, but this looks alright. I quite like the extra black trim on the sleeves.

If you look here you can see the full Nike range for this year, including the new shirt (less stitching, trim, branding, etc). Anyway, I mention this because the away kit is supposedly red and black halves, which suggests that it will be a branded version of this. So collar fans are advised to wait for the away shirt.

The third kit is, I think, yellow. So it could be anything on there.

This year I had the Great Escape red and black; next season I might go back to the home.

As ever, you can keep up with the latest kits out here, at Football Shirt Culture. And here is the timetable for kits: ours are now (home), August (away), September (third).
