The Big Lewandowski and Finnan?
Setanta says we’re one of a number of clubs looking at Poland midfielder Mariusz Lewandowski.

Also, someone on TiFF says that they have solid information that we’ve signed Steve Finnan. So that’s nice, if true. The archetypal understated fullback. We shall see though. Pre-season starts next week I think, so I guess we’ll see a bit of movement between now and then.

- he prefers Celtic (’cause there is already one Polish - holy goalie Artur Boruc)
- Everton is more interested in signing him than we are
I’d rather see Turkey winning Euro than Lewandowski playing for the Whites next season
to be honest besides at least five goalkeepers (Boruc-Celtic, Kuszczak-Man Utd, Fabianski-Arsenal, Kowalewski and Dudek-Real Madrid) at this time there is no Polish guy who might be our transfer target
that’s sad :( but that’s true
however I hope one day we’ll welcome a good Polish player on Craven Cottage; maybe someone from the huge bunch of Polish emigrants

Finnan remains the best right back I’ve ever seen play for Fulham.
I’ll be over the moon if he is really coming back but I’ll believe it when I see it.

Did you see this? - My RSS feeds seem really slow at the moment. It’s dated 20th June and suggests Bocanegra has signed for Rennes.

if it’s a working day, then Fulham are being linked with a Right Back. Finnan is the best of the bunch, but I think most of these “links” come about because of everyones fear, loathing, and hatred of Chris Baird. Certainly RB isn’t our only need, and certainly every RB isn’t on our radar.

There might be something here though. As Chopper says, a lot of people have a lot of time for Finnan, and it’d certainly add to a feelgood factor at the club if he does return.

Steve Finnan is my all time favourite player. Funny to say this about an “understated fullback”. But thru 2000 - 2003 he put in the best performances week in week out of any Fulham player - with Big Ed a close second. I’m with Chopper - Steve would be GREAT!.

Bring back Finnan! Excellent player. And, having been around the club in the fall of 98, he seems like a thoroughly decent dude.
