Thumb twiddling
Well, what is there to say? Most of the players are back in training, Harry Kewell’s signed for someone else, we’ve a new Chief Executive*, and we don’t appear to have sold any of last year’s massive squad.
Rumours are scarce, with the national press seemingly scouring message boards and their own back issues for ideas. Dave Kitson? Bobby Zamora? Not under Roy, surely? No, they, and we, know nothing. The Swedish right-back seems plausible, mainly because Rosenberg said we’d made an offer, but what else do we have?
Ho hum. They say that things only get going once everyone’s back at the club, so I suppose we shouldn’t expect much. But the season seems so close…
This is the first time in ages that we’ve really had nothing to talk about.
*about whom we know little, really, just as we knew little, really about David McNally, despite all the negativity towards him from some fans.
Well look at it like this. Last season we had a revolving door that kept spewing out new players. In the end only a few were good buys. The rest were just goodbyes.
See what I did there.
Yeah it is a bit quiet at the moment.

I have a feeling that we will see a couple of new faces within the next week. Think the board and Roy are working quickly and quietly to get transfers over and done with so that Roy can focus on coaching.

But the geat thing is we don`t have ot feel worried. Roy`s got it all worked out. The right players will arrive at the right time. All we have to do is to bask in the warm glow of expectation!

That You Tube clip of Van De Fart is hillarious.
