I’ve just finished our 12 hour football marathon, and am going to give up the sport now. I’m in agony, exhausted, and I have nothing left to give. I have huge admiration for footballers, they make what they do look so easy. It really isn’t. I’ve spent hours on end misplacing passes, missing tackles, misjudging headers. It never used to be like this back when I was a handy 18 year old!
And now… what now? Perhaps I’ll go to sleep. My brain is fried, my toes are black, my mojo is not in good nick.
But Bobby Zamora scored, Erik Nevland did (again), and Leon Andreasen hit a rocket. I’m told. So that’s good, eh?
