I am now wondering when we’re going to pull a Tottenham and start transferring out players in our defense. Certainly it is stupid to keep Volz as 3rd or 4th choice right back.
HD – I’m happy to see us bring in players before clearing out. Pretty sure we’ll see quite a few players move on before the end of August. If not then there’s always January.
Unless there is a permanent position change in mind for Volz (or Pantsil, I suppose), I’d say that he’s very likely on his way out. It’s too bad…I love the guy, but where would he play? The 7-man bench makes his versatility less important, and we now have real DMs and RMs that would certainly be above him on the depth chart.
the 7 man bench is disappointing I think. Players like Dempsey may lose out too. Hopefully Roy’s trying to turn him into a *something* over the summer.
