Johnson: a further twist?

The Mail On Sunday reports that we’re reducing our Andy Johnson bid to £8 million.

Fulham have sliced more than £4million off their valuation of Andy Johnson as Everton’s summer of misery in the transfer market continues.

With manager David Moyes facing defeat in his attempts to sign Juventus midfielder Tiago and Athletic Bilbao’s Javi Martínez, his hopes of raising much-needed funds have been hit by Fulham’s hardline stance over Johnson.

The clubs agreed a fee for the England striker last month, starting at £10.8m and rising through performance related add-ons to a club record buy of more than £12m.

But signs of an old knee injury surfaced when Johnson took a stringent medical and Fulham withdrew the original offer. They are unwilling to pay any more than £8m now, with Everton under pressure to accept the new terms or risk the transfer collapsing.

Nothingness

Could he really have existed, or was he perhaps invented by Robert Louis Stevenson, along with the Master of Ballantrae, Long John Silver and the good Dr. Jeckyl? Lee Cook is remembered as a shining, leering pock-marked face, pasted on a pitchdark soul; there is some evidence to say that he appeared in the flesh, but I lean more toward the invention theory.

Lee Cook back to QPR.

He seemed to be having a good pre-season.  He is a left-winger.  And now he is gone.

Who will replace him?  Hameur Bouazza?  Or was the rocket booted Algerian playing with a metaphorical sign saying FOR SALE around his neck?

Seol Ki-Hyeon played up front against Birmingham on Saturday.  REDUCED TO CLEAR?   Or is this Seol 2.0?  Who knows anything anymore?
