Times bit up

Posted in General by weltmeisterclaude on September 1, 2008

Apols for light posting, issues galore at the minute, and I got about an hour’s sleep last night.

But I’ve done this for the Times, about Jimmy Bullard.  It’s not quite what I wanted it to be, but given the way my brain’s working (it isn’t) it’ll have to do.

I’m not sure what’s happening transfer wise.  Collins John to NEC I heard; Smertin to Cardiff?  Roy’s broomstick is far reaching, eh?

Nice Times piece Claude. Bullard’s call up has got me interested in the national team again – do you reckon he’ll get a cap?

Correct Rich. CJ to NEC Nijmegen for Free. Zakuani on a months loan to Peterborough. Smertin needs a work permit to make the switch to Cardiff which might be another season long loan.

Oops – Just checked Offal and the CJ deal is a season long loan. Should know better than to trust the BBC.

That Bullard piece is excellent by the way. Flippin’ heck if that’s you writing on auto-pilot I might as well give up!

I was going to say too – your brain seems to be working pretty well to me! Really good balanced piece.

    Good stuff.

I’m getting tired of reading in the comments sections of other sites that Jimmy should be playing for a better club. He is.

    Agree, nice article Rich.

Don’t suppose anyone happens to know what number JB will have with the England squad? I’ve got a 15% off coupon for World Soccer Shop and an England shirt with his name on it would be a great gift to myself.

I too thought an england shirt with Bullard on the back would be cool. It’s got to be shirt # 21. Although I’m not sure if the players get to choose their country’s shirt number. So it may be worth hanging on until the weekend. England play Andorra on Saturday for first World Cup qualifier, so we may get a glimpse of him then, even if he doesn’t play, he may be a sub and we’ll get to see his squad number.
