Of tents and jelly

From this morning’s Times website.

I told you my brain’s off. I read the Hughes headline as “Hughes claims Robinho deal signed in tent”.

“Hughes claims Robinho deal signed in tent”

LOL! That’s like me reading everyday. Particularly with headlines.

Dumb question here, but I really don’t know why Fulham didn’t have a fixture this past weekend? I didn’t catch any games actually. I’ve been really busy but I was confused about this.

BQ – Man Utd were playing in the UEFA Super Cup (or some such nonsense) on Friday so the game was postponed.

So, will there be a scholarly tome dealing with the entire transfer window posted here at CCN? Where we were? Where we are? Should we fasten our seatbelts in advance of a bumpy night? I’ll keep checking in.

Also, will the last player to leave West Ham United kindly turn out the light? Thank you.

I’ll do an overview of it all before too long, sure. Just got a lot on at the moment, so keeping things ticking over.

You mean Man Utd. were losing in the UEFA Super Cup. Couldn’t happen to a nicer team either. HA!

Thanks Chopper. Figured it had something to do with a cup competition.

while we’re talkign about nothing, this is somehow vaguely hilarious:

    http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/manchester_city/article4659785.ece

“Ronaldo has said he wants to play for the biggest club in the world, so we will see in January if he is serious,” Al-Fahim said.

“Real Madrid were estimating his value at $160m (£89m) but for a player like that, to actually get him, will cost a lot more, I would think $240m (£134m). But why not? We are going to be the biggest club in the world, bigger than both Real Madrid and Manchester United.”

    It’s all going nuclear!
