Yay, an award. Sort of.

The man at The Times has mentioned my bit on Jimmy Bullard earlier in the year.   Is that literal or metaphorical champagne, I wonder?   But it’s a timely reminder of what he means to the club (Bullard, not Frank Praverman).

Also, please do read the winning article, by the West Ham man, which is very funny on the subject of booing players:

I have booed at a paid-for public entertainment event, but I was four years old and the object of my spleen was a man dressed as a wolf. Since then, I have sat and stood next to grown men booing other grown men in complete seriousness, and the thing I can’t help thinking is: how do they describe this activity when they get home to their wives?

I imagine the conversation goes a bit like this:

“Good game dear?”

“Yes love. We won 2-1 with both home goals coming from set pieces. The left back had a poor game so I booed him on and off for approximately 15 minutes.”

“Did you dear? That’s nice. You like a good boo, don’t you? Who else did you boo?”

“I also booed the manager for a substitution I considered to be unjustified and in any case 12 minutes too late. I also booed an unused substitute for his noncommittal demeanour as he warmed up. And one of the ballboys got the wrong end of a big boo when he fumbled a return at a critical throw-in. Next time, I am considering booing Herbie the Hammer as he has been well off the pace in recent weeks.”

Indeed.  Quality stuff.

It is a well known fact that this site has the best readers in the world.

El Steve has noticed that myp2p.eu, secret streamers extraordinaire, have a link for next week’s Fulham v Chelsea reserves game (presumably via Chelsea TV).

Here.  Check back nearer the time I guess.

cheers, Steve.

Roy’s video: Blackburn preview

Ah, Friday.  It’s been a terrible week, first one back after Christmas and all.  Cold, dark, hard to get out of bed in the mornings.  Not good.   But now I have Tim Taylor in my belly and PJ Harvey in my ear and all is fairly well.  And a game tomorrow.   Excellent.

Roy’s video preview.  Usual stuff.  Revelations:

“Any team news revolves around Bullard, and he is still unfit, so he won’t be taking any part in the game”

It’s very easy to be cynical about this.  It’s very easy to be cynical about people being cynical.   But really.  If this was September or April would Jimmy Bullard have missed three games in a row with a dead leg?

Moving on.

Seol may be on his way.  What can you say?  Unfairly vilified, but still not very good, Seol will probably welcome a chance to play somewhere else.   He can play football; hopefully there’s a place out there where it all clicks for him.  I feel bad for how things went for him here, although presumably he only has himself to blame for not making more of his opportunities.  Hey ho.  Life is like that.
