Hard to argue with that assessment, although most sites will plump for Hangeland as our best player.
Minor point … it was Charlton THEN Liverpool.

crap, what I meant to say was Charlton then SPURS, whereas your original article said Spurs and then Charlton. I must have a chat with my fingers.

I have a good friend who is a Charlton fan and he has fond memories of DM and his conribution whilst playing for them. I think the struggles he had at Tottenham overshadow what was a fairly successful time at Charlton. Therefore if we look at his overall career, it is no wonder he is still a top class player and professional.
