Strange ideas about Fulham since 2006

Silly Kit Season

With the transfer silly season not fully starting until next month, now is when all the clubs release their kits for next season. We’re still waiting on our home kit (curses on our away one), but below are two via footballshirtculture.com that I am swooning over. And both coincidentally made by Umbro. Hmm…

Seen any you like?

Umbro do seem to be on the ball at the moment. Shame we haven’t had a proper manufacturer for a long time. It’s really not that hard…

That Hearts one is especially stunning. I may just have to purchase it at some point down the road…

Wonga’s not good though. Loans for the poor at 3000%….

I have an old Slavia Prague shirt along similar lines. Theirs are pretty good.

The whole problem with the shirt is the sponsor. The strip itself looks classy, but the sponsor sticks out like a sore thumb.

Blackpool had the same issue with the same sponsor last season.

Stuttgart’s shirt is a great example of a sponsor fitting in well on a shirt.

Not a lot of love for the new Fulham away strip on here, but at least the FxPro bit doesn’t clash with the shirt’s colors.

      underwiring!

Has anyone seen the underwiring yet? what is it exactly?

n terms of fit, I got the Green jersey last season one size up and it fits perfectly. Not sure why they don’t just keep the sizes standard…but at least they noted right on the web site to order one size up.

it’s not really underwiring, the seam just goes where a sports bra would. that’s all…

I’m not a fan of the recent Umbro kits but like that Hadjuk Split one (slightly too narrow collar apart).

some of the score draw retro kit range. Fantastic stuff for those of us who grew up in the 80s.

If you like the Hajduk shirt, check out the Forest one made by Umbro for this season:

Switch the red and white for black and white and that would be one of the best fulham kits of all time.

bah! That’s what I mean. It’s not difficult, is it? but we end up with this Kappa crap.

The Notts Forest shirt was a runner up to Hearts, sans Wonga logo

Umbro was actually bought by Nike a few years ago. I imagine some of the nike design staff were brought on board resulting in the cooler look from umbro over the past few years.
