Strange ideas about Fulham since 2006

Schwarzer Out, Etheridge In, Stockdale back

Oh boy.

Following an assessment by a specialist consultant on Tuesday evening, the Club can confirm that he has sustained a compression injury to his thoracic spine and that he will be unavailable for 4 to 6 weeks, and is expected to return to play towards the end of January.

The Club has exercised a clause in the loan contract of David Stockdale, and he has been recalled from Ipswich Town to join the squad. (via)

Well, looks like we’ll see Stockdale in net this weekend and for the foreseeable future. Interestingly enough, last season’s turn of fortune started when Schwarzer left for the Asian Cup and Stockdale took over the #1 spot. Coincidence? Could it happen again this season? Hmm…

And Neil Etheridge will presumably make his first team debut tonight in the MONUMENTAL MUST WIN AGAINST ODENSE. Best of luck, kiddo!
