Who what when how?

The fixtures are out at 9am.  I’ll be in training all day, so will miss all the excitement.  But feel free to discuss.  Does it look good?  What’s the run-in like?

HOME TO VILLA FIRST UP
AWAY TO THAT LOT ON BOXING DAY
AWAY TO SPURS TO END THE SEASON

  1. Well for the first game we don’t really want a top team, a newly promoted team or an away game. My pick for mischievous purposes would be Spurs at The Cottage or if Hughes has found a team by then that would do : ) but otherwise someone like Wolves, WBA, Aston Villa or Bolton at The Cottage would do me.

      1. Funny, when we first thought Hughes was definitely going to Villa I half expected a game vs Villa to be our opening fixture. Seems the PL thought so too but forget to change their fixture rigger!

  3. About as easy a start to the season as we could have hoped, but the stretch between the two Arsenal fixtures is grim. I can see us not picking up many points those couple of months and people overreacting to that.

  4. I had grown very accustomed to playing Arsenal for the last game of the season. Maybe Tottenham will provide a good upset to close things out on a high note.

I’m glad we have a proper derby rival in QPR. And a home match against them in early October… perfection!
